Tasked with creating an identity for an exciting new startup in the Web 3 space, Unbanx is a next-generation rewards app that lets you control your data and earn rewards by connecting your bank account. The brand and product needed to be something that could easily be incorporated into your lifestyle - adventurous yet present the reliability and trust of modern-day financial banking systems.
To achieve this, we developed a distinct visual system that played with the notion of 'stacking and data'. This allowed us to create a suite of visual assets that were fresh, bright, and forward-thinking. We combined a bright, electric visual style with bold typography and illustrations that would appeal to our target audience.
The brand identity and visual system directly evolved from the strategic positioning to set the company between creativity and technology. The brand assets struck this tone by contrasting Unbanx's rich color palette with a slick typographic system combined across Unbanx's digital and physical touchpoints. Subsequently, the brand not only stood out, but it also stood for something, capturing a striking, optimistic, and defiant tone.
